Construction Information Construction work on SR 522 is currently underway and is expected to continue into 2009. Construction schedules are updated weekly and outline the projected construction activities for the next two weeks. Here is what is currently taking place:
Burke-Gilman Trail’s 68th Ave. NE Underpass Re-opened; Detour to Remain in Place On Monday, April 21 the Burke-Gilman Trail Underpass at 68th Ave. NE re-opened to the public. However, the trail’s detour onto NE 175th St. between 68th Ave. NE and 83rd Pl. NE will remain in place until the trail is graded and re-paved. Other sections of the trail are scheduled to re-open later this Spring.
80th Ave. NE Closure In early March construction crews closed the south end of 80th Ave. NE from just north of NE 177th Ct. to SR 522. A detour will be in place. Renovations to 80th Ave. NE include:
Following the completion of roadwork on 80th Ave. NE, sidewalks will be installed and additional landscaping will occur.
East segment – 73rd Ave. NE to 83rd Ave. NE Construction for this section of SR 522 is currently taking place and will continue through 2008. Some of the improvements include:
